     Retail: $8.00  Page Count: 206,  Size: 5.75" x 8"

Prior to Adventures in the Big Bend, Jim Glendinning published this small guide to the unofficial border crossings of Mexico. Considered to be essential to any adventurous visitor to the Big Bend, Border Crossings is the only book available that documents these little known passages. Following the tragic events of 9/11, all border crossings within the Big Bend National Park were closed by the Federal Government, but there is currently a movement to have these unofficial crossings reopened. So, order your copy of Jim Glendinning's Unofficial Border Crossings now to take a look at the little known world of the unofficial border crossings and to get a jump on an exciting trip that you can take as soon as the crossings are reopened.

Alpine Company Press originally published Mexico: Unofficial Border Crossings From the Big Bend & Copper Canyon, but Iron Mountain Press has acquired these remaining copies from the author and is now distributing them.

Jim Glendinning arrived in the USA from Scotland in 1961 after graduating from Oxford University. For the next 30 years he worked on both sides of the Atlantic, mainly in tourism. As a tour guide and travel writer, he visited 118 countries before happening upon Alpine, Texas in 1992. He decided to stay and opened a bed & breakfast called The Corner House. He continues to write travel articles, runs tours into Mexico, and offers guide service in the Big Bend area. (432)837-2052. Email: jimglen2@sbcglobal.net.
