About the Author...
Jim Glendinning arrived in the USA from Scotland in 1961 after
graduating from Oxford University. For the next 30 years he worked on
both sides of the Atlantic, mainly in tourism. As a tour guide and
travel writer, he visited 118 countries before happening upon Alpine,
Texas in 1992. He decided to stay and opened a bed & breakfast called
The Corner House. He continues to write travel articles, runs tours
into Mexico, and offers guide service in the Big Bend area.
